Ram Navami Vrat Katha

Once upon a time, Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana were on exile. While walking in the forest, Lord Rama thought of taking some rest. There lived an old lady close by, Lord Ram, Lakshmana and Mother Sita reached the old woman.

The old woman was spinning at that time, Budhia welcomed her and urged her to take bath and meditate, on which Lord Rama stated, "I am  hungry, first bring pearls for it so that I can also eat." The old woman was in trouble but couldn't even disrespect the guests who got here home.

She rushed to the king and asked him to give the pearl in the loan, the king knew that he didn't have the status of an old woman, however, still he yearned to give the pearl to the old lady. Now the old woman fed the pearl goose, after which Lord Sri Ram also ate. Whereas walking, a tree of pearls was planted within the courtyard of Lord Rama Budhiya.

After a while, the tree grew to become a pearl, the old woman was not able to understand it. Whatever pearl the neighboring neighbors would carry. One day, while sitting under the old tree, the yarn was spinning as the pearl started falling from the tree, the old woman took them to the king.

The king was surprised that where did the old lady come, the old lady told that there's a tree in her courtyard, now the king got that tree in his courtyard, but the Maya of God now started rising thorns on the tree. Both the tree and the tree couldn't bear the king, he immediately got the tree planted in the previous courtyard, and again the tree started to be replaced with pearls from the Lord's Leela, which the old lady started distributing as the Lord's offerings.
