Magadha Shakti Peeth

Magadha Shakti peeth is considered one of the 51 Shakti Peeths famous in Hinduism. Patneshwari Devi, located in Patna, Rajdhani of Bihar state, is called Shakti Peeth. This Shakti Peeth is located at Maharaj Ganj (Deoghar), about 5 kilometers west of Patna City Chowk.

According to the Puranas in Hinduism, wherever the body parts or ornaments of the goddess Sati fell, there they became Shakti peeth. These Shakti peeths are called very holy shrines, which are unfold all over the Indian subcontinent. These Shakti peeths are very important from a religious point of view. Devipurana describes 51 Shakti peeths.

Magadha Shakti Peeth Significance

Magadha Shakti peeth is one of the 51 Shakti peeths. According to the Puranas of Hinduism, wherever the pieces of the part of Sati fell, the clothes or jewelery worn, Shakti peeth came into existence. These are referred to as holy places of pilgrimage. These pilgrimage spots are spread across the Indian subcontinent. The Devi Purana describes the 51 pilgrim spots.

• This temple is about 5 km from Patna City Chowk. To the west, Maharaja is located in Ganj (Deoghar).
• Here Sati's "right thigh" had fallen.
• Sati here is ‘Sarvanandakari’ and Shiva is ‘Vyomkesh’.
• It is believed that Sati's eyes had fallen in Munger, Bihar, while according to Tantra Chudamani, the eyes had fallen in Karveer.
• Patna Howrah, the capital of Bihar, is situated on the Delhi rail route.

Magadha Shakti Peeth Mythology

Magadha Shakti peeth is one of the 51 Shakti peeths. According to non secular texts, parts of Goddess Sati fell in any respect these locations.
