Radha Ashtami Puja Vidhi and Radha Ashtami Vrat Katha
Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is known as Radhashtami. It is said in the Puranas that Radha Ji appeared on this day from the yajna of Vrishabhanu. This festival is celebrated for 16 consecutive days and women observe fast for 16 consecutive days. It is believed that by observing this fast, there is peace and happiness in the house. This fast is especially done for the long life of husband and son and for the well being and child happiness of the family.

Radhastami is celebrated with full fervor at many places. Especially in Mathura, Vrindavan and Barsana, this festival is celebrated like Krishna Janmashtami with great pomp. It is believed that Radha Rani was born on this day. It is said that Sri Krishna is incomplete without Radha. Radha's name is taken before Krishna's name. In the Vedas and Puranas, Radha has been praised as 'Krishna Vallabha'. It is believed that salvation is attained only by chanting the Radha Ji mantra. Radha is considered to be the presiding deity of Lord Shri Krishna's life.

Importance of Radha Ashtami fast

Lord Krishna is also pleased by observing a fast on the day of the ritual of Krishna Priya Radha Rani and gives the desired fruit. The name Radha is going to defeat all the miseries of the world. According to the belief, by observing this fast, there is no shortage of money and there is persistence in the house.

How was Radha Ji born

Radha Ashtami Vrat Katha: Story of Radha Ashtami

Devarshi Narada, the incarnation of Shri Krishna Bhakti, once bowed at the feet of Lord Sadashiva and asked who among Sri Radha Devi Lakshmi, Devapatni, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, intimate learning, Vaishnavi nature, Vedakanya, Munikanya, etc.?

In response to this question, the Lord said that what to say about anyone, even a Mahalaxmi cannot stand in front of the beauty of his feet, so to describe the form, qualities and beauty of Shri Radha with one face. I also have no power in all the three worlds. His beauty is also going to fascinate Shri Krishna, who fascinates the world,

That is why I cannot describe him with an infinite face. On the eighth day of the intense fortnight of Bhadrapada month, Shri Radhaji's feet are seen. It is not possible for anyone to describe the beauty of their feet.
