Balaram Purnima Puja Vidhi and Balaram Purnima Vrat Katha

There's a mythological belief about the Maharishi Sandipani Ashram that 5,000 thousand years in the past, Lord Krishna along together with his brothers Balarama and Sudama had come to study from Guru Sandipani. While living here for 64 days, Lord Krishna learned 64 lore and 16 arts. Due to this fact, thousands of devotees come here to see Guru Guru Purnima.

Significance of  Balaram Purnima

According to Hinduism and Puranas, Lord Balarama is considered the ninth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He was also the elder brother of Lord Krishna. He was very powerful and killed the merciless demon Asura Dhenuk. According to Hindu texts, he's also known as Sheshnag of Lord Vishnu.

Balaram was born as the seventh child of Vasudev and Devaki. He killed many demons in his life. Worshiping Balarama ji on Balaram Purnima leads to a healthy life. Worshiping and fasting on Balaram Purnima gives physical strength. This fast is especially done to get children. Many women keep this fast for the longevity of their child as well.

Who was Balarama?

According to the Puranas, Balarama is considered to be the elder brother of Lord Shri Krishna. Balarama was an incarnation of Sheshnag. Balarama was also considered to be extraordinarily powerful. It was Balarama who taught Duryodhana and Bhima the mace war. Balarama, like Shri Krishna, was a child of Devaki. Balaram was the child of Devaki.

Kansa killed all of Devaki's children. As a result of the tenacity of Devaki and Vasudeva, this seventh womb was established within the womb of Vasudev's first spouse. However, Vasudev's first spouse had an issue with how one can raise this child. Because at that time Vasudev was in the prison of Kansa. Therefore, soon after Balarama was born, he was sent to Nand Baba's place.

Balaram Purnima Katha

According to legend, a Gwaleen woman was pregnant in a village. There was some time left in her delivery. But regardless of her situation, she set out to sell milk curd.  On the same day, there was also Hull Shashthi. She went back to her work again after Gawlin rested for a while. Due to this, the fast of the people who fasted Hull Shashthi was broken.

Due to Gwlin's mistake, his child lying under the strawberry found a solution for the farmer. When the farmer heard the cry of that child, he was very sad and ran away with stitches with strawberry thorns. When Gawlin returned, he found his child dead.

Seeing his child, he remembered his sin. He immediately told the folks the entire thing and also told about the condition of his child. When he apologized in this way, all of the villagers forgave him. When Gwalin came back to the same place, his child was alive and playing.
