Sharad Purnima Vrat Katha: Story of Sharad Purnima

A moneylender had two daughters. Their daughters used to keep fast. On full moon day the elder daughter complete fast and the younger daughter used to do incomplete fast. It happened that the younger daughter's children would die as soon as they were born. He asked the pundits for this reason, then they told that you used to do an incomplete fast of full moon, due to which your children die as soon as they are born.

By worshiping the full moon in full law, your children can live. He fasted on Sharad Purnima. A child was born to the younger daughter, but she too died soon. He covered the cloth with the top of his child. Then he called his elder sister and brought her to sit in the same place where she had covered her children with clothes. When the older sister started to sit, her ghagra touched the child and the child started crying as soon as it touched the ghagra.

Elder sister said- 'You wanted to pimp me. It would have died when I sat down. ' Then the younger sister said, 'It was already dead. It has become alive by your luck. It has come alive from your merit. After this incident, she started a full fast of Sharad Purnima every year.
