Govardhan Puja is a popular Hindu festival. Govardhan Puja is celebrated the next day after Diwali. Govardhan Puja is quite famous in Punjab, Hariana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It falls on the fourth day of the five-day Diwali festival and generally on the next day of Diwali. It is celebrated on the first date of the Shukla Paksha of Kartik month according to the Hindu calendar. In Govardhan Puja, we all express our gratitude to the cow we worshiped. The festival is observed by most of Hindu denominations all over India and abroad. Govardhan Puja is also known as Annakoot Puja. Govardhan Puja is a principal ritual performed during Annakut.
