Madhvacharya Jayanti is an auspicious day dedicated to Saint Madhvacharya, the great religious reformer and commentator on the Brahma Sutras and the Upanishads. Madhvacharya Dasami Tithi of Ashwin Shukla Paksha is celebrated as Sri Madhva Jayanti or Madhvacharya Jayanti. Madhvacharya was a proponent of Vedanta. It treats Brahman and individual souls as eternal and mutually separate entities. Madhvacharya was a Hindu philosopher and the chief proponent of the Dvaita school of Vedanta. Madhvacharya was born on the west coast of Karnataka state in 13th-century India.
